Whitney

Hi! I'm Whitney.

I’m a follower of Christ, a wife, homeschooling mom of four, Bible college graduate, and registered nurse who loves beauty, truth, and deep theology. I believe the gospel doesn’t just change our eternity; it transforms our ordinary days.

This space exists to help you lift your eyes to Christ in the middle of ordinary life.

Here you’ll find encouragement for gospel-centered motherhood, theology that fuels everyday faithfulness, and thoughtfully created resources designed to point you and your family toward what is true, good, and beautiful.

If you are weary or wondering whether your small, hidden work matters, you’re in the right place.

I’m so grateful you’re here!

Founder of

Brighter Day Press

Brighter Day Press exists to equip and inspire parents to teach in their homes with confidence, creativity, and truth.

In a world where our children’s minds are constantly shaped by shifting cultural values, we create gospel-centered, literature-rich resources that help families bring light and biblical truth into everyday learning. Rooted in God’s Word and inspired by Charlotte Mason’s vision of a feast of what is good, true, and beautiful, our materials are thoughtfully designed, theologically grounded, and intentionally manageable for real families.

Speaker

Whitney Newby is an author, artist, homeschool mom, and the founder of Brighter Day Press, a ministry devoted to creating literature-rich, gospel-centered resources that help families grow in faith together. With a Bible degree from Moody Bible Institute and a background as a registered nurse, Whitney brings both theological depth and compassionate relatability to her writing and speaking.

Through storytelling, biblical encouragement, and practical application, Whitney equips women to see the beauty of ordinary faithfulness. She is passionate about helping moms embrace their calling with grace and confidence, reminding them that the gospel transforms not just our eternity, but our everyday lives.

Whitney speaks at women’s events, homeschool conferences, Mom’s Nights Out, and church gatherings, where she encourages women to deepen their faith, cultivate Christ-centered homes, and find hope in every season.

I have found that my empty cup is the holy place where my great need and God’s lavish grace meet.
